Abstract

This article examines the issues of assessing the effectiveness of investments in human capital from both scientific-theoretical and practical perspectives. Investments directed toward human capital, particularly expenditures on education, healthcare, professional training, and skills development, are analyzed in terms of their economic efficiency. The study evaluates the impact of human capital on economic growth, labor productivity, and income levels. In addition, financial and social indicators used to assess investment effectiveness—such as profitability, cost–benefit analysis, and the Social Return on Investment (SROI) method—are thoroughly examined. The results of the research demonstrate that investments in human capital are a crucial factor in ensuring long-term sustainable economic development and have significant practical value for decision-making processes in this field.
